A local Christian radio station sponsors a “Skate for the Light” at a roller rink. No costumes, but lots of prizes and fun!

But how do we keep the pumpkins and decorations away from the children? Satan is everywhere on his holiday!

In Mexico, they celebrate “dia de los muertos” (day of the dead) which is a day in which they travel to cemeteries to eat food with dead people.

What is wrong with pumpkins? They are a fruit from God. Do you mean jack 0 lanterns?

Celebrate the harvest. It is what the jews are doing.

What’s wrong with costumes? >_> or Halloween for that matter? I never got to Trick-or-Treat as a kid cause my mom was just like you. I grew up pissed as hell at her for that.

  3. lillie says:

Quite simply Christians do not celebrate pagan holidays in any form.

  4. Elephant's Child says:

Why not do what Christians always do with pagan festivals.

Commandeer it for yourself, invent some tenuous reason for doing so, if possible change the name, instate your own new customs & claim that this is the way it has always been, branding anyone how tries to return to the original celebration as thieves.

You could change the name to … oh I don’t know … maybe … All Hallows Eve.
    Oh wait a minute …
